Universal Roofing turned my Roofing nightmare into a great experience. When Cory came out to look at my roof, he explained everything in detail about what was going to be done, the materials they were going to use, and their start to finish process. The crew did a fantastic job and they made sure everything was picked up and clean when they were finished. Zach the project manager keep me informed on any issues and daily updates.

A 5 star team from Universal Roof and especially Anderson and his leadership and expertise . They were quite impressive. We have a complicated roof with steep inclines and 2 buildings one with a gambrel roof. Their team arrived promptly at 6:30 am and worked harder than I have ever seen any team work. They stayed late and each night everything was perfectly cleaned up on the property and they arrived again the next day at 6:30 am to continue . Watching them was better than Cirque du Soleil! They are truly skilled and worth what they charge. Their communication from the front office is excellent and we always knew well in advance what was next in the process. I can't recommend them enough and thank you to Anderson for making sure our new roof was perfect.

Quality roof, attention to detail, respectful workers. Bailey Hinshaw was helpful with communicating details and communication is very important to me. He was quickly accessible via phone, text or email. Robert Collins was also a helpful and informative salesman - making sure to take time to get us exactly the product we wanted and needed.

He explained every step of the process and was ready and available for questions during and after the work was performed. We would totally Contact universal roof and definitely work with Archie again.

About Viera
Viera is an unincorporated community in Brevard County that the Census Bureau counts as two census-designated places. The Brevard County Government Center, where the Board of County Commissioners holds its meetings, is on Judge Fran Jamieson Way there.
The county also runs a 117.62-acre regional park with lighted ball fields and courts, and the Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands, a constructed treatment wetland popular with birders and photographers. At the 2020 Census, Viera East had 11,687 residents and Viera West had 16,688.
The housing stock
Viera Homes and What Their Roofs Face
The weather those roofs answer to is measurable. NOAA's 1991–2020 normals for the Orlando Intl Ap station put annual rainfall at 51.45 inches, with 57% of it falling June through September and 8.05 inches in June alone. Most of that rain arrives in summer storms, often wind-driven, and it finds any weak flashing detail on Viera rooflines quickly.
Salt, sun, and that rainfall all work on Viera roofs, and edges, penetrations and fasteners are where we start every inspection.
Weather history
Storms Viera Has Answered To
Viera sits in the Atlantic storm region, and the record is specific: Nicole (2022) — November landfall at Vero Beach; storm surge and beach erosion damage up the east coast to Jacksonville (NOAA/NHC TCR AL172022). Matthew (2016) — paralleled the northeast Florida coast; significant wind and surge damage from the Space Coast to Jacksonville (NOAA/NHC TCR AL142016).
After any of those, the useful thing a homeowner can do is document from the ground: photograph what is visible, note the date, check ceilings that night and again a week later. Then get a professional assessment before small openings become interior damage. We run storm routes across Brevard County and put findings in writing with photographs — no scare tactics, no inflated damage lists.
Not sure which of these your roof needs?
The free inspection answers it with photos and a written report.

Straight answers
Viera Roofing Questions
What time of year is best for roof work here?
Exterior work runs year-round in Florida, but fall is the sweet spot for big projects — easier on crews and materials, and it puts a sound roof over you before the next storm season instead of after it.
What should I do right after storm damage?
Three things: stay off the roof, photograph what's visible from the ground with the date, and get professional eyes up there quickly, because even small openings let water reach the decking. We run storm assessments across Brevard County with tarping available the same visit where roofs need immediate protection.
Is the inspection really free?
Completely. You get the walkthrough, the photographs, and a written condition report at no cost, no strings — the report is yours even if we never hear from you again. Most end with 'you're fine, here's what to watch.'
