Crew management 110% listens to my concerns and double checks the roofing issues. Got the shingles I wanted and the color gutters I liked. Talk to Bill F., you will be glad you got him to redo your roof and other repairs the right way. Not all roofing companies are the same.

I interviewed seven different roofing companies before I chose to sign a contract with Universal Roofing and Contracting. I was especially impressed with their representative, Jason Serrano. He answered all of my questions, but more importantly, he LISTENED to what I wanted. The contract I signed was specifically tailored to MY needs; it wasn't some standard job. It took a few weeks after I signed to get the right permits, but then the project moved quickly. Michael Ramos served as my project manager, and he kept me informed as the roof was put on. He showed me photos of the damaged spots, and of the completed work. I was pleasantly surprised that the actual work was completed in only one day (I have a very large roof on my 2,100 square foot one story house.) I am very pleased with my new roof, and I am happy to recommend Universal Roof and Contracting to anyone who needs a new roof

On these roofs

Suntree Homes and What Their Roofs Face

The weather those roofs answer to is measurable. NOAA's 1991–2020 normals for the Orlando Intl Ap station put annual rainfall at 51.45 inches, with 57% of it falling June through September and 8.05 inches in June alone. Most of that rain arrives in summer storms, often wind-driven, and it finds any weak flashing detail on Suntree rooflines quickly.

Salt, sun, and that rainfall all work on Suntree roofs, and edges, penetrations and fasteners are where we start every inspection.

The named systems

Storms Suntree Has Answered To

Suntree sits in the Atlantic storm region, and the record is specific: Nicole (2022) — November landfall at Vero Beach; storm surge and beach erosion damage up the east coast to Jacksonville (NOAA/NHC TCR AL172022). Matthew (2016) — paralleled the northeast Florida coast; significant wind and surge damage from the Space Coast to Jacksonville (NOAA/NHC TCR AL142016).

After any of those, the useful thing a homeowner can do is document from the ground: photograph what is visible, note the date, check ceilings that night and again a week later. Then get a professional assessment before small openings become interior damage. We run storm routes across Brevard County and put findings in writing with photographs — no scare tactics, no inflated damage lists.

What we do here

Roofing Services in Suntree

Everything the Greater Orlando crews do runs through Suntree: roof repair, full replacement installed to manufacturer specification, free documented inspections, storm response, commercial systems, and the roof edge — soffit, fascia and seamless gutters. Materials: metal, architectural shingle, tile, and our exclusive Metlok system.

Universal Roof & Contracting has been family-owned since 1993 — state-licensed (CCC057165 & CBC1258484), fully insured, BBB-accredited with an A+ rating, and an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, a tier held by fewer than 1% of roofing contractors. Estimates are free and itemized; the inspection comes back as photographs and a written report you keep either way.

Straight answers

Suntree Roofing Questions

How long does a roof installation take?

Typically one to three days for a residential replacement. Complexity adds time — tile systems, steep pitches, multiple layers coming off — and commercial jobs scale with the building. Either way you'll know the expected window up front.

Repair or replace — how do you decide?

Repair when the damage is local and the roof has life left. Replace when wear is systemic — repeating leaks, widespread granule loss, a field past its span. We photograph what we find and put the recommendation on paper, so you're deciding on evidence rather than a pitch.

What does a roof replacement cost in Suntree?

Five inputs set it: size and pitch, how many layers come off, what the decking looks like underneath, which system goes on, and the detail work at flashings and ventilation. That's why quotes-by-phone are guesses. Ours start with a free inspection and arrive itemized, line by line.
