Our History
We might have been founded in 1993, but our industry experience goes back to 1972. That year, our founder, Ken Mellick, started his own custom home-building company.
A little over two decades later, he established Universal Roof & Contracting. And since our founding, we’ve been a family-owned and operated business. In 2015, Ken’s son Jared took charge, making it a multi-generational operation. Today, Ken’s daughter, Jade, leads the team.
From our start, we have proudly been a veteran-founded, family-owned company under the same brand. Every member of our team shares the passion Ken built this company on.
