New Hope Youth Raises Funds for Summer Camp

Once again, Universal Contracting Community Works is happy to sponsor a special Fundraising Golf Tournament.  The proceeds from this weekend’s event will help send teens from Winter Haven’s New Hope Church to Stetson University in Deland for the Student Life Summer Camp later this month.  This inter-denominational Christian youth camp is a ministry designed to foster spiritual growth, promote relationship and solidify the personal identity of the teens in attendance through Gospel-centered exploration of the Bible and high-energy, team building activities.
The 2014 camp theme is “Who do you say I am?”
Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi.
On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”

This year’s Student Life Camp vision is to paint a clear picture of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Students will come to see and know Jesus, how He transforms lives, impacts the world and requires His followers to take up their cross in His footsteps as the answer to His question “Who do you say that I am?”
In agreement with the camp mission, we place an incredible value on the Bible and prayer.  We are glad to partner with Student Life and New Hope Church so that these teens might fully discover who Jesus is, setting the trajectory of their lives today, tomorrow and for eternity.
