26 Apr Community Works This Weekend!
Universal Contracting Community Works
…the righteous give and do not hold back. Proverbs 21:26
With a heart for people and a desire to build up our community, the Universal Roof & Contracting family has always contributed to the improvement of the lives and circumstances of those around us. From food donations to veteran benefit programs, family members and employees alike have partnered over the years with community projects to impact our area residents in a positive way.
Now, as a growing company, we’ve established the “Community Works” division with hopes to accelerate our efforts to see restoration, healing and progress come to the lives of Florida area residents through prayer and the purposed works of our employees and associates.
This weekend, we are pleased to host the 16th Annual CFRSA Golf Tournament benefitting Give Kids the World and The Russell Home. The Russell Home for Atypical Children is “home” for a number of children whose handicap prevents their independent functioning in the community, and otherwise enjoying a normal life. The Russell Home provides around the clock specialized care, with love and a home-like atmosphere so vital to their special needs.
Give Kids the World provides memorable, magical, cost-free experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families on a 70-acre resort complete with 144 Villa accommodations, entertainment attractions, whimsical venues, with fun specifically designed for children with special needs.
On the same day – WHEW! – we will be walking for LIFE at the True Life Choice 2016 Walk for Life! The event is open to the public and will be a fun-filled morning at Blue Jacket Park in Baldwin Park. At this family friendly event we’ll participate in a 1 or 2 mile walk/fun run, breakfast food trucks, kid’s activities, live music and more!
Join TEAM Universal Contracting as we walk to bring change to our city where 11,000 reported abortions and 12,000 live births occur annually. This year’s Walk for Life is especially significant to benefit the Lucerne Project to help TLC demographically relocate their Clinic to downtown Orlando near one of the busiest late term abortions clinics and Planned Parenthood and to expand our services. Walkers of all ages raise funds to support the ministry of Choices Women’s Clinic and increase awareness throughout the community in their spheres of influence.
