14In the days since one of the most difficult weekends Orlando has seen, the families and associates at Universal Contracting are still grieving the recent tragedies in our home city. Many individuals here have donated blood and time helping and praying for those that have suffered losses due to the violence at a downtown night club. As a company, we are pulling together to go out into the community and offer practical assistance to those still at the forefront of recovery efforts.
Today and Thursday Universal drivers, administrative, and production personnel alike will be distributing bottled water and iron-rich snacks to people waiting in line among the many blood donation sites around Orlando. In the meantime, we are applying with local agencies to become a Blood Drive Host Site and are coordinating efforts to assist existing drives in need. As facilities are already overwhelmed, we anticipate our blood drive will take place later in the month; the date and time will be announced once confirmed.
